Meditation That Changes Your Life

Professor and Class,

My experience with the loving-Kindness exercises was quite interesting to me. I like the soothing sounds of the ocean. I liked thinking on someone I am happy with, someone I love. I also like thinking of others even someone I may consider to be an enemy or someone I am not happy with. I think when it is spoken to breath in their suffering, I see it as putting yourself in someone else's shoes and considering how they might feel. When I take the time to do this I am more compassionate towards others, even when they are mean to me. I figure if I might do or say something that might brighten their day. A smile maybe or a compliment may change everything for them at least for the moment. I found it somewhat beneficial. I am not really into these types of meditation. I have my own. I meditate on the word of God. It changes everything for me. The since of peace I experience when I am in God's word changes my life, my attitude, my situation. I would not recommend the exercise to others. I would recommend the Word of God.

The concept of a mental workout is developing the mind. I use activities like meditation, reading, brain teaser games, and practicing mind focus exercises to develop my mind. A mind focusing exercise would be to think on things that are lovely, pure, honest, and good for example. I also have phrases that I speak to myself. It changes my way of thinking and therefore changes my life for the better.
